I play mostly solo or in a double bill with Wendell Ferguson (Wendell and Wheat). Also play with Betty and the Bobs (7-piece Toronto band) and I do a show each winter called "Songs for the Snowy Season" with Tannis Slimmon and Angie Nussey - we call our group Boreal. And I love doing house concerts! Here are my upcoming shows and workshops: Each year, I do more and more house concerts. They've taken me to far flung places like Steinbach MB, Olds AB and Gabriola Island BC. Maybe you're wondering "what the heck's a house concert?" It is simply a concert in someone's home. If that someone is you, then you need a space that'll hold 25 or more people. You book the artist (see below). You enthuse about that artist to your friends and neighbours (lie if you have to - especially if it's Wendell) and charge them ~20 bucks to attend. Best if you get your friends to pay in advance. That's the hardest part. Ask folks to bring a cake or a jelly salad for the intermission. Make sure you don't schedule the date on the same night as the Stanley Cup final.
